Description: The first day is a prologue, built thinking on most riders comfort meaning it does not have impossible obstacles and it has resting areas between each difficult section and it should be fun to ride while putting on a good show for the spectators. The second day is the most enjoyable day for the riders and is programmed to last around 5 to 6 hours. Competitors will be able to appreciate Costa Rica’s natural beauty riding well prepared trails across the jungle and near waterfalls. The third day will all be in a private property that also has plenty of natural sceneries and the knockout format adds some extra adrenaline to the riders and spectators.
Format:
- Day 1: Prologue, Romaniacs prologue format. One rider at the time qualification, then the top 15 advance to the finals. (This day scores no points, only for starting order)
- Day 2: Hare Scramble, Sea to sky format on a 70 km track. Start in rows of ten, according to the prologue. Start on the bronze track, if rider finishes before time bar he advances to the silver track, if he finishes that track before the time bar advances to the gold track. (This day scores the mot points)
- Day 3: Knock Out. Supercross knockout format on a hard enduro 5km track. Two qualifying 25 min heats per category, top 10 advance directly. Riders that don’t advance directly go to the last chance qualifier where the top 5 advance to the final. Al finals are 40 min. (This day scores less points)
Navigation:
The first day all the track is properly marked with marking tapes on all the track. For the second day the track will be marked with arrows and tape but the GPS is recommended. The third day will be perfectly marked with arrows and tape.
Registration: Costs $250 and includes official Enduro shirt, official hat and race bag.
Important Info: Nearest town is called Ciudad Colon which is 30 min from the nearest airport (SJO). Ultimate Rides (ultimateridescr.com) is the recommended bike rental which has many different bikes and services. No other license necessary to participate, only the registration. The weather is humid and very hot, around 30 degrees Celsius on the day and 25 degrees Celsius at night.
