6 hour hare scramble on a tough, partially wet track that would by every 1.5 hour have an extra difficult section added to it. Sounds fun? For some for sure – for me, it was one of the mentally and physically most challenging races I’ve ever done.

Riding 6 hours in for example Romaniacs is not as hard as here. When there’s in Romaniacs plenty of 5th gear sections and long stretches between the hard sections, at RedBull Override it was almost constantly challenging.

If challenging yourself mentally, technically and physically above the normal, then a 6 hour hard hare scramble is definitely your thing.

I made some different videos from the event, this is one of them::

What I liked the most about this event was the organisation behind it. And with organisation I mean Mark Koch. He’s the captain of this ship and also the guy behind the Revlimiter – another Texan race. Everything was on point and it’s always nice to be in a race where you know the organisers are organised.

What I liked the least about it was the format – I simply just enjoy Rallye style races more and I get bored really easily. So for me, I found it very hard to keep the interest in the race and if you watch some of my youtube videos, you’ll see that I really slowed down, started talking to people and generally just rode to finish.

Anyhoo – it really is a great race and a big challenge to keep riding for 6 hours when each lap offered multiple unrideable parts.

Here’s some photos from the event, that the American Enduro Photographer took of me:
